Service: Cut Flower Garden Planting Plan

Now through March 27, 2023, we are excited to launch a new opportunity for remote customers outside of Seattle (possibly you?!). If you need help getting over the difficult hurdle of choosing flowers and designing a cut flower garden, we are designing custom planting plans for a limited time. You provide some basic information about your desired planting location and goals and we will design and deliver a digital PDF of what flowers you can grow (in your zone) and where to plant them.

I wish I could come to everyone’s garden for a consultation, but it’s just not possible. For a limited time, I’m able to assist anyone who needs help getting started on a cut flower garden this year. I’m offering designs for a limited number of people, so please read below and purchase your custom plan if this sounds like the help you need in the garden.

Below are a few sample pages from our digital planting plan that will arrive in PDF format.

What’s included in your planting plan:

A digital planting plan (PDF) for a cut flower garden. Delivered via email within 1-2 weeks.

Plan will include the following:

  • List of warm/hot weather annuals (one growing season only) that meet your selected garden goals

  • Details for each annual will include pictures, growing size, and growing tips

  • Aerial view of your future garden (based on the dimensions you provide) showing where flowers can be planted to maximize growing space and to ensure adequate sunlight

  • Bonus: Additional tips for growing in your zone

What we will need from you to get started on your design:

  • Choose the main goal for your cut flower garden (e.g. pollinator friendly, dry flowers, bouquets, supplement monthly flower subscription)

  • Choose one (1) growing location that gets full sun (6-8 hours of direct sunlight) during warm/hot weather months (usually May-August). This can be a raised bed, several pots, planter box, or an area in your existing garden bed.

  • Pictures of selected growing location in your garden where you want to grow your flowers. Include several angles and your home in the background if possible to help aide in the design process.

  • Measurement of the planting location (Length x Width x Height (if applicable)).

  • Planting location marked on an aerial view of your address, so I can understand the cardinal direction of the planting location N/E/S/W (go to Google Map view or Google Earth and mark location on a screenshot)

  • Color preference for flowers
